WWII GERMAN M1942 COMBAT HELMET - COMPLETE & NEAR MINT

Description

This is a very fine WWII German Model 1942 single decal army helmet with complete liner and original chinstrap. The exterior of the shell is painted with the regulation dark green paint. The interior cream-colored leather liner is pliable, undamaged and shows very little use. There is a nice dome stamp clearly printed on the top of the interior. The chinstrap is original, complete, full length and marked, “OTTO B…., ELSENBORNE – 1941”. It remains pliable and strong. The rear skirt is with the lot number, “D365” below which is the manufacturer’s code, “NS64” indicating a 64cm shell size and manufacture by Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke, Schwerte. This remains a very attractive helmet in excellent, lightly used condition.
