Up for sale is an original WW2 German M38 paratrooper helmet. This is a very attractive camouflage helmet and appears to be the "Normandy" type camouflage with a mustard yellow base and traces of green over spray that has mostly rubbed off over the years. The wear to the helmet gives a very nice combat used look and would make an excellent display for anyone interested. The interior of the helmet is somewhat salty and has a good amount of patina. The liner is still intact but darkened from sweat and grim and the chinstrap buckle is present although the other half looks to have been cut off at some point unfortunately. The leather is fairly supple and the helmet would have no problems being displayed on a mannequin. The helmet is marked what looks to be CKL71 and 892 on the back. I have tried my best to photograph the helmet but if any potential buyers have questions please feel free to ask and thank you for looking.
