  • Modification Description: The broken guard stick was doubled to the next stick and glued.

  • Condition: Good Condition - Section of Guard carving 1/2" square was broken and missing - The broken guard was doubled w/ next stick. I could detect no flaws in the lace. The cardboard box is in fair condition with corner tears around the top and a large rubbed area on the top. Please See photos.

    Description

    The fan has a carved black guard with gold painted trim.  The is little gold painted design on the sticks.  The leaf has inserts of lace and needle work and a lace border at the top.  The gauze leaf is painted with flowers and butterflies.
    The 17 (+1 doubled) sticks are 14" long and the fan when open is 25-1/2".  The loop and washers are 10kt. gold plated, and the rivet is brass.
