  • Condition: Selling as is, this powers up but only the radio works and it does not work well, if the volume is turned up past a certain point the audio becomes distorted and buzzes loudly. The stereo function cuts in an out. This is in unrestored as found condition, all the pots and switches need cleaned and likely a number of caps and resistors are out of spec. There is a small stress crack in the clear plexiglass cover of the radio frequency band see closeup and the faceplate is detached a little underneath the tape deck play/record/FF buttons. Other than some scratches, and minor loss on the printing this is in pretty solid shape, no cracks in the body, the speakers have no damage to the cones and the antennae seem to be in good shape as well. Clean battery compartment, non original polarized plug cord included (polarity does not matter) in dire need of proper maintenance by someone who knows what they are doing, spraying some deoxit and hoping for the best isnt going to work.

    Description

    This is one of those items that as a collector of many things I've held on to for too long knowing that I'll never get around to spending the large amount of money I'd have to pay someone to restore this to its once glorious operating condition so its time to let it go.  Its just a beautiful piece and it has such an awesome vibe to it. Lots of work needed to restore it, I hope it finds a home with either someone who can do the work or is willing to pay to get it done.  I'm gong to pack this extremely well like I do everything with a big sturdy reinforced box and lots of padding (see my feedback for all the compliments I get on packing) I've been doing this a long time,  many years prior to joining eBay so rest assured I'll do all I can to provide a safe and secure shipment.
