Here is a rare original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of S. Sylvan Simon's comic musical,

. In this film remake based on the successful 1927 Ziegfeld Broadway musical, Bud and Lou play fired pet store clerks who wind up in a Texas resort hotel where they get involved with foiling a Nazi backed smuggling operation. This
poster is from the first release of the
movie shortly after the end of the war in Europe (probably 1947). It is printed in the smaller, immediate post-war format in order to conserve paper. Although the poster isn't in the best of shape, the unique artwork is completely intact. I have never seen another example of this Belgian release poster come up for sale or auction in over 25 years. A must have for any fan of Abbott & Costello.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN / SIZE: Belgium  11.25" x 14.5"
CONDITION:
Good Trimmed Folded Condition. Partially trimmed top white border with remnants of imprinted theater exhibition information. One small tear in right border. A good degree of overall yellowing to the paper.  Artwork is completely intact. This poster has been stored flat for the past 22 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
