Description
Original WW2 German M35 Helmet + Small Items Novgorod Russia. This helmet belonged to a soldier of the 21st Infantry Division of the German 18th Army and was dug up in the defensive positions near Novgorod, Russia. These positions were overrun, early in 1944. The helmet was found by a metal detecting enthusiast, in 2019. The included small relics were found in the same dugout, presumably belonging to this soldier.
This helmet has damage as shown that appears to have been caused by shrapnel, with cracking going down and forward. Besides that, the helmet is in a fairly stable state and much of the factory paint is still intact. Traces of the tricolor decal are still present and the Wehrmacht decal’s shadow is still there (see pictures). Inside, where the factory markings and size would be seen, only the 2 is visible (size 62). At the rear of the skirt, only a “0” or “9” is discernible.
Several tunic buttons and a Wehrmacht button with eagle are included and pictured.
This helmet does not contain offensive markings!
