  • Condition: Good-Very Good overall vint cond: For sale is this very nice & rcntly fnd in a North Shore, MA estate, well-pres, mid-20th c, vint color litho'd tin wastepaper basket, feat a 2-sided image of the former, late US Vice President Spiro Agnew playing golf & tennis, w/captioned phrases. Of course, Nixon administration VP Agnew, vilified by the anti-Vietnam War student movement in the US, eventually resigned in disgrace in 1973, convicted of tax evasion. Spiro T. Agnew was once nrly as controversial as his boss, US Pres. Richard M. Nixon, who would also eventually leave office over the Watergate scandal. Agnew was a lawyer & a member of the Republican party. He was of Greek & American descent. This politically themed color litho'd wastepaper basket, has a metallic gold pntd int & baseplate. The upright trash can's oval in shape & has a rolled upper edge. The bottom edge as well is rolled & the baseplate's connected to the sidewalls by a rolled tin flange. Still in great shape. Wonderful.
