    Description

INDEPENDENCE PARTY event ticket - 1875 - at Parker House, Cicero, NY.
This is an interesting item that I don't know much about.  The Parker House in Cicero began in 1818 at what was then called Cody's Corners (named after the postmaster) in Cicero. The hotel was named after a local citizen named R.H. Parker.  It seems a man named A.J. Wright took over management in 1873.  The ticket however says that I.S. Auborn was the proprietor. It was sold in 1876. It was demolished in September 1965 to make room for a shopping center.
So what was the Independence Party that was having a musical event on July 5th, 1875?  I can find no information about an Independence Party, so I can't say.  I'd love to know, so if anyone has more info, please message me through eBay.
