Here is an original Belgian movie poster from the 1st release of the independent production of the WWII espionage thriller,
Blood On The Sun
. The movie is based on a fictional history behind the Tanaka Memorial document, a Japanese plan to conquer the world. Cagney plays the editor on a newspaper that comes into possession of the document and becomes involved in a world of intrigue. This poster is from the first Belgian release of the movie after the end of the war in Europe, probably in 1947 or 1948. It is mounted on linen and seldom comes up for sale or auction. The striking artwork is unique to this Belgian release movie poster.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN/SIZE: Belgium  14.5" x 19.5"
CONDITION:
Very Good Trimmed Condition On Linen. Prior to backing, the poster's top white border was partially trimmed and the poster was printed on the back of an ordnance map. There were a few pinholes and minor stains in the surrounding white borders. It also appears that a theater snipe had once been affixed to the top border. Since being mounted on linen, this poster has been stored flat for 20 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube.
