Antique Hand Fan by Billotey Mother of Pearl and original Duvelleroy Box

Fan collectors will know what I mean when I say you can feel that this French fan has never been used.  As you remove it from the box you can literally FEEL its perfection...solid, smooth...perfect.  The wonderfully hand painted silk leaf is signed by the master fan painter Billotey!  Showing flowering branches in blues and whites, his skill and style are evident.  The delightful Mother of Pearl sticks and guards are hand colored in soft greens, tans and pinks.  There is a pearl studded screw rivet and black metal ribbon loop.  It is in its original Duvelleroy box.  This is a deaccessioned hand fan. States "Nr. 55 - Frankreich c1905 Sign. BILLOTEY". Condition - stellar.
