Antique Hand Fan, bovine bone,1730,handpainted paper, Turkish scene

Description

Next is a rare hand fan from c1730.  Possibly Dutch in origin.  It shows  delicately hand painted scene on its paper leaf.  Seems to resemble a Turkish scene with a curious looking camel in the right cartouche.  The sticks are well carved in their serpentine shape.  The guards are also very well carved with shells and vases.  Size - 11" high by 18" wide.
