Thank you for considering our antique hand painted courting couple figures decorating an elaborate woven silk lace and mother of pearl fan, with ornate gold trim, in a newer shadowbox frame.   The fan opens to 18-1/2 inches wide; the shadow box dimensions are 20-1/2 inches wide by 13 inches high by two inches deep.
Rated shipping weight is seven pounds.
Note, I have not removed this fan from inside the shadowbox to closely inspect it for the tiniest of condition issues.  Nor will I remove it, since, considering the age and obvious fragility of the material, to do so would undoubtedly result in more harm than potential benefit.
I have however closely inspected it using a magnifying glass looking through the clear plexiglass covering.
So understand that I am not purporting this to be in perfect condition, and I am selling it as is.  I see what I consider minor imperfections due to hand manufacturing and decorating; plus age wear, fading, etc. that you would expect from gentle use.  I will not, unlike what many other listers do, pretend that this is more perfect than reality allows.  In other words, if you buy this, you are agreeing that you do not expect this fan to be without flaws.
Now, that being said, if you are dissatisfied, I will still allow a domestic return, with the stipulation that the shadowbox is unopened, with our seals on back intact.  Opening the back invalidates the return option.
