Antique French Framed Hand Painted Silk Fan w/ Sequins Gilt Painted Ribs WW218

Description

An exquisite 19th Century Silk Fan with beautiful hand painting,, sewn on sequins, gilt painted carved ivory ribs and a lovely jeweled clasp.  It features three lovely French courtier scenes with a musical theme.  These are framed in sequined borders and surrounded by beautiful flowers and garland design.  It is framed in a gilt wooden fan-shaped frame with a wooden back.  The interior lining is green silk with a gold metallic embroidered filagree motif. You can see in the photos that it has been beautifully restored in several respects: There are splits in the silk and three of the sticks have breaks at the base.
The condition, as described, is restored.
