A fantastic rare antique silk & lace fan by renown Parisian fan maker, Adrian J Rodien. Featuring black lace with embroidered black/grey/cream silk flowers on faux tortoise pierced shell sticks. A silk rope handle with tassle is attached to the fan. The fan comes in original box which bears the embossed Rodien label.
Good antique condition, some aging and separation to lace. Silk tassel handle fringe is frayed. Box is frayed. See photos.
Measures approx. 13"l closed, 24"w when open.
Rodien is considered one of the most renown master fan makers with many of his fans in museum collections. Rodien won both silver and gold medals at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in the late 1800s. Don't miss out on this rare offering!
