    Description

1976 Ezra Brooks Heritage China Bicentennial Shriner Fez Hat Whiskey Decanter
This is a very unique, collectible Shrine whiskey decanter produced by Ezra Brooks, commemorating the United States Bicentennial. The decanter is molded porcelain painted red/maroon, brown, black and blue, with color transfer prints. It is shaped like a Shriner's fez with a tassel.
On the front is an image of Revolutionary War drummers with an American flag. Above that is the Shriner logo A.A.O.N.M.S. (Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine) and their symbol of a scimitar, crescent and star. At the right of these images are two stickers; one advertising that the bottle is "Genuine Heritage China" and the other advertising "Ezra Brooks 4/5 Quart 101 Months Old 90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Bottled By Ezra Brooks Distilling Co. Frankfort, KY." A transfer printed in red, gold and white around the front bottom edge is the text “1776 U..S.A. Bicentennial 1976” with two stars. A black porcelain ball covers the cork at the top center of the decanter. Adhered to the backside of the decanter is the paper bottle stamp showing tax paid. Embossed on the underside is “Heritage China (copyright symbol) 1976 S.N-63/Ezra Brooks Liquor Bottle 185”.
This bottle is approximately 8" tall, and the base is slightly more than 5 1/4" in diameter. The decanter is empty and in good condition. No chips or cracks noted. A small area of red on the top of the decanter has faded. Although the cork is broken, the black, round cover still fits perfectly. The Ezra Brooks sticker towards the bottom has faded somewhat with age. Will make a very unique and striking collectable.
