Large-format fold-out 1963 Atlantic road map of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, printed more than 56 years ago.
The map opens to 23" x 36" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by Rand McNally.
The Pennsylvania map is on one side, with inset plans of a dozen cities, including Altoona, Bethlehem, Wilkes-Barre, Easton, and Harrisburg.
New Jersey is on the other side, with inset plans of Trenton, Plainfield, East Orange, New Brunswick, and other cities.
The map was distributed by Atlantic in 1963 to promote its gasoline, motor oil, and "Red Ball" guaranteed service, which promised
free gas
if the station didn't clean your windshield and check your oil.
The map is dated in the legend, and the code number in the lower margin is 3-463943-25.
