Description

Note the mansion in front of the factory; was it for the CEO or corporate executives offices?  This was once the largest rubber manufacturing plant in the world, built in 1889.  Peak employment was during WWII:  2000 employees.  Complex was abandoned in 2009, then the 122 year old facility was consumed by an inferno on June 7, 2011.  The upper left corner has a bit of a crease but has no impact on the image.  High quality German postcard; importation of them had to stop in 1915 when WWI became problematic.
Vintage postcard in excellent condition.  Clear postal cancellation, intact Franklin stamp.
Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.
