This is a Rare Antique 1884 Book about a Maine Politician titled “The Life & Public Services of James G. Blaine” by Russell Conwell. Blaine was also one of the Founders of the Republican Party! Published EC Allen & Co., this 504 page hardcover, includes text, as well as B&W illustrations. The first 441 pages are devoted to Blaine, and the remaining 64 pages are devoted to a section titled “Biography of General John A. Logan of Illinois” by Conwell. Both sections have a B&W illustration of the featured personage, opposite the title page. The book is in very good condition except for; some light wear in the cover corners; an ink stamp of the previous owner on the inside front & back cover endpapers; & several pages in the front of the book that are loose.
