This listing is for the original, authentic antique, New Hampshire, Republican GUBERNATORIAL Election Handbill for the candidacy of  PERSON C. CHENEY in the 1876 CENTENNIAL election.    Paper measures approx 3.75" x 7".
Cheney was an officer with the NH 13th Vol Infantry Regiment in the Civil War, a State Railroad Commissioner and then a businessman who was elected, and served one term as Governor from 1875 to 1877. He was then appointed to fill an unexpired term in the US Senate in 1877.
Very good condition with only light antique wear.
